Took this place as a reccommendation from our hotel (Inn at Harbour Steps).

It lived up to the reputation.

We were slightly out of season, so we were able to just walk in without a reservation. I suspect this would not be possible at peak times.

Food was fantastic Italian, atmosphere was spot on, service was impecable, our server was Brad.

Meal for two with a $36 bottle of wine and two $6 G&T's was $162. By far the best meal we had on our three week trip to the Pacific North West.

Cheers.
Mark & Nic.

We had no trouble locating the restaurant but it did take a while to locate parking – we finally found a garage not even two blocks from Il Bistro. The food was excellent, and service good. The dining room does it’s best to conjure images of a small café in Europe, but it is located just below the “fish-throw” area of Pike’s place. It was a relaxing and delicious dinner. A bit over priced, but still a romantic dinner spot. There is no view of Puget Sound, which I was disappointed by.

My wife and I dined here for her birthday recently. I had ordered the romance package in advance and requested an intimate table away from the bar. We got exactly that which was perfect and our table had rose petals strewn accross it and we were served champagne as soon as we were seated. The restaurant's decor and atmosphere is one of the best I have ever experienced, the lighting is soft and the colors are rich and it gives you almost a mystical kind feeling. All during our dinner there were 3 Italian couples sitting in the middle of the room next to us and they were speaking Italian and laughing the entire time which made it feel even more authentic. The food is fairly decent with a good selection in type and price. I wouldn't say it's the best food around but for the price and atmosphere it isn't bad. Our only complaint is that our waitress seemed to lack experience in a sophisticated restaurant. She seemed more along the lines of what you would expect somewhere between IHOP and Olive Garden. The gentleman at the front door however was very attentive and he even took care of our bill when he noticed our waitress was taking too long. Overall I would definitely eat here again. If you are looking for true elegence though, go to Chez Shea accross the street.
