Oceans, mountains, city! You can see it all. I love observation decks in general, but this was an exceptional treat because the landscape is breathtaking. You simply can't visit Seattle and not go ONCE.

“Quintessential Seattle”

How can one come to Seattle and not visit the Space Needle on a beautiful clear day? It's a tad expensive, but worth the view.

“Even on an overcast day it is fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2012

The elevator brings you to the top. There is a few seconds that you cannot see outside but then you are allotted a beautiful view as you are being brought up. Our two times that we were up on the top it was not a clear day to see Mount Rainier. However, the city view and harbor view were very clear and beautiful. On the day that we went it was not overly crowded so it was nice to slowly stroll the outside and enjoy. There is a small snack bar where you can enjoy a warm beverage. On the bottom is a souvenir shop with plenty of choices-big and small. We bought the Seattle City Pass which allowed us to visit more than once in an allotted time. Seeing the view from The Space Needle at night is a visual treat!

“It is what it is, a touristy Seattle Icon”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2012

The dear old Space Needle is privately owned, and the owners make a killing. Very expensive to ride up, lots of tourist kitsch in the shop at the bottom. Good to do once, but there are great views all over town for free. Don't bother going when it's not a clear day.
