I live in West Seattle so finding a good brunch place is always a good find. This place is an under-appreciated gem on California.

While folks line up for an hour for greasy eggs and has browns at the coffee shop at the record store on the Junction, folks choosing Shadowland will be seated immediately, have the option of choosing from a full bar, and not wait a long time for the food. You will also have a lot more room at your table and be much more comfortable.

The food is excellent. Over several visits we've had the Hangover burger (highly recommended), all of the variations of french toast and the biscuits and gravy. The poutain roasted potatoes are also excellent - as are their poutain fries later in the day.

Give this local place a shot before putting your name on the list over at EZ Street Records.

You won't be disappointed.

PS _ Good micros on tap for later in the day as well.

Generous portions, good value, great service and delicious food = I will be going back! Oh... and amazing bloody marys! I had corned beef and cabbage soup that was to die for and pulled pork bbq sliders that were delicious! Next time I'm in West Seattle I'm going to try the mac and cheese because I hear it is the best!

Surprising. Delicious. Fried pickles.
Restaurant was a little loud but the food - we had a series of appetizers - and the service were stellar. Can't wait to go back!
