Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel dates from the 1930's and apart from general maintenance nothing much has changed. Room was comfortable and clean with a small kitchen. Close to public transport options which we utilised during our stay. Fuss free basic accommodation.

Good Afternoon David, Thank you for your review. We're glad you found your room comfortable and clean. We are not fancy and this allows us to keep our prices more reasonable than other full service options in the city. We hope to welcoming you back in the future. Happy Holidays!

We were stayed there for 5 days while visiting Seattle. We loved every minute of it. The check in was a breeze and the staff was friendly and helpful especially the Korean lady at the front desk. The room is cozy and comfortable. It has a kitchen that we use to prepare our meals. It is 15 minutes walk from Pike Market Place and the walk may be challenging for some. We love the exercise as it gives us an opportunity to burn some calories from all the good food that we had there.

The Baroness is located a few blocks from downtown. it is walkable, but take note that it is a steep climb on the way back from the town (and gets steeper as it goes).
originally built as a hotel to serve the nearby medical centre and paired with the hotel across the road, it does have a real old world charm.. It must have one of the oldest elevators still in use, but it works just fine. the Baronness itself does not have a restaurant, but it's sister across the road does, and that is quite good quality.

Hi Rex - Thank you for your review. We are definitely quirky with old world charm and we hope you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, our Rhododendron Café in our sister property across the street, Inn at Virginia Mason, has great food breakfast, lunch and dinner and a lovely "secret" courtyard. Safe travels!

We used this, seen better days, classic 1920s hotel for a two night Layover and loved it. Walking from it is grand, all downhill. Walking back is a hike. The style of this old hotel is a glance back to yesteryear.

If you are into quaint and old, this is the place. The elevator almost qualifies as a ride at an amusement park. Very quaint. Did I mention old? Friendly staff. Clean. Did I mention old? Be aware - there is no air conditioning. Ambulance noise at night.

Room Tip: Corner rooms would probably have more windows to open. No AC
