Shopping North gate Mall---Decided to do dinner---have been here more than three times before since 2013.....For best choices begin dinner at 5:30 P M when every item is
stocked up, filled up, and fresh looking----many many choices Rolls, Sushi, Sashimi, Two Pokes, Crab legs, Buckwheat Soba noodle soup, Miso soup, Salads many kinds, Japachae, Seaweed Salad, Jelly Fish, western salads, steam trays with Asian dishes,
Korean steam bar, tempura bar, deserts, whew!
We are seniors; aged 65+---received a nice discount---and for this spread, it is not pricey...especially when it is 'All You Can Eat'.
Service was spot on (refills of water and hot tea, removal of empty plates,) the rest of plates, patrons will find around the food counters such as utensils, chopsticks, silverware, straws, napkins, plates, bowls, and some condiments. Don't expect staff to get those for you---they are right in front of you all around the room. No pressure to eat and run----the real danger here is eating too much....I am not sure how some rate taste objectively especially folks with a western conditioned taste----usually too spiced with salt and pepper---but fresh Rolls, Sushi, and Sashimi all have special tastes of their own without dousing in Wasabi-soy sauce or Siracha.
Tables for larger groups available, and separate dining areas for families or groups----
I suggest start with a small bowl of the Soba noodles, or Miso soup (three choices)
and then progress slowly around the food bars taking small bites (Tapas Style)
until you are ready for desert.....The tempura bar was a hit, fresh and had a sauce ladle available to flavor with sauce---get you own small bowl.....Eating here is all about
sampling and enjoying; not filling the plate and pigging out (bad show and boorish manners and wasting food.) It is an experience in dining to be slowly enjoyed.
Interesting note: Restrooms are in the basement---take the elevator downstairs.
