Miosca was the reference for Clichy and even Levallois in simple food prepared by a highly skilled chef. A new team has taken over, it is now called l'atelier Bistro. Don't let the change of name and team put you off. This is till a very good value choice if you are anywhere close by.

They have kept some of the Miosca signature products, like the Cochon de lait, but the fare is more traditional French now. The choices on the menu are wider and there is always a daily special in the lunctime menu (starter Main - 21€, starter, main, dessert - 26€). Well chosen wine selection.

(Miosca will rise again at a new address about 2 km away, but still in Clichy).

This is an excellent value. All of the dishes were wonderful and the service was perfect. This young team has a great future in front of them.

Situated around 250 metres from clichy-levallois train station. A restaurant specialising in local market produce well cooked with a menu that changes almost weekly. The menu is limited by the insistence on fresh produce, e.g. only 5 or 6 main dishes 2 of which were different sizes of entrecote. The lentil soup with parmasan was of creamy texture and filling. Chicken mains were succulent the fish cooked a point. Wine by the glass is available of good quality and reasonable price. One to go back to and check the new menu. Very good value and service.

Or even Levallois! it's just the Clichy side of the railway lines and very close to the Clichy Levallois SNCF railway station. Run by two young dudes, Miguel in front, and Oscar running the kitchen.

It's a simple formula, daily fresh produce, limited menu choice (1 meat, 1 Fish and the ever present "Leitoes" - Portuguese Suckling pig), but prepared with the attention to detail of a fine restaurant. Full lunch time menu is 21€, that's starter, main, dessert, drink (beer, wine or other) & café. It's, repeat after me, UN-BEATABLE-VALUE! You wont get a better deal this side of Vietnam (ok, that's a stretch, let's say outside of Portugal).

I've lost count of the times I've been here, sometimes they have specials, like wild salmon and there are some 200g and 400g steaks always available.

If you are near, don't resist.

This is a gem of a lunch time spot. Limited menu, generally 3 starters, 3 mains & 3 deserts. One constant is the suckling pig, a delice from Northern Portugal. At least one of the partners running this place is from the North of Portugal.

Wine choice is limited too, but very well selected.

The lunch time menu is unbeatable value, starter, main, desert, 1/4 wine or beer, and a coffe for 21€. None of the other local bistros come close, service is friendly and discreet.

It's off the beaten (tourist) track, but step out of the Clichy/Levallois-Perret railway station (The "Paris" side), turn left on exiting the station, walk under the railway bridge and it's a cross the street from the Boulodrome, about 100-200 metres walk.

Only open for lunch. Also open once every other saturday in the evening, reservation essential!
