my wife and I were introducing some friends to the wonders of France and this was our first overnight having spoken to Natalie by phone and booked dinner
I don`t want to be too critical but it was a thoroughly unpleasant experience from the moment we walked in there was no greeting just ` how many cars have you parked in our parking area at E6 per night` no offer to help with our cases to our awkward 2nd floor room despite the obvious mobility issues.
we came down to dinner to discover the regular dining room was not in use so we were ushered into the bar area where we asked to see the prix fixe menu as per their web site and my conversation with Natalie. there was only an a la carte menu and when I reminded them of their advertised E 28 Natalie explained that this was discontinued 9 months earlier.` so why haven`t you removed it from your web site?` we haven`t had time was the response.
Natalie snatched the menus from our hands and told us to go elsewhere to eat. sadly she was most unpleasant and a disastrous intro. to France for Maria & Ian. we ate at Les Ramparts opposite and were treated like welcome guests. the sooner Natalie retires from the hospitality forum the happier visitors to France will be Dr Mrs Brian Silverstone London sept 2012More
