This bed and breakfast for perfect for my husband and I. We stayed in High Tide, the upstairs unit. The home was recently built by the owners, and you can tell love and care and expertise went into the design and building of this home. The stonework throughout the unit and the walk in shower is gorgeous. The homeowners, Allison and Alan are great hosts and very welcoming.

Alaska Paddle Inn has a beautiful view, overlooking Resurrection Bay. It is equipped with a King Bed, gas fireplace, small kitchenette (no stove or oven) with refrigerator, breakfast bar, comfy chairs. The hosts provide food for breakfast.

Our stay was a delight and we highly recommend staying there.

I recently stayed, with 3 of my friends at the newly finished Spruce House of the Alaska Paddle Inn. The house is brand new, and there is plenty of room for everyone to have their own (very comfy) bed. Equipped with a coffee maker, coffee, washer and dryer, and amazing few of Resurrection Bay, we had everything we needed! Allison, Alan, and Vasey are wonderful, you couldn't ask for better hosts!

Room Tip: Spruce House, High Tide, Low Tide room, all are excellent!

Situated at the end of a pot holed road is this very pleasant 2 unit bed and breakfast.

Read all the reviews -it is as advertised.

There is no t.v whichis fine except for those who would like to follow sports.

Wi-if works well and you are are close to town

We were in lower unit and I. Would say there is virtually no sound proofing between floors
Noise from upstairs neighbors is a fact of staying in the lower unit.

My wife and I stayed two nights at Alaska Paddle Inn in August 2015 and we were well satisfied with our stay. Alison and Alan have done a nice job setting up the inn. There is an upper room and lower room. We were in the High Tide room which is large, has a nice king bed, tiled shower, picture widow overlooking Resurrection Bay and a small kitchen. Alison keeps the kitchen stocked with cold and hot cereal, milk, coffee, tea, yogurt and granola. There is a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. It is not an elaborate breakfast, but was a good start to each day. There is a campsite between you and the bay, but being in the High Tide room, it didn’t hinder our view to any extent. Allison was very helpful in setting up the reservations and helped me when I came back and needed a third night after reserving two. The room is clean and tidy. As in a lot of places in Alaska B&Bs, they ask you to take off your shoes, which I’m sure the folks in the Low Tide room appreciated. The host’s home is right next-door, but they didn’t bother us and we respected their privacy. One thing to mention is that some may be a bit intimidated by where the inn is located. This place is better if you are traveling by car as it is a short way out of town, but too far to walk comfortably. It is on Lowell Point and the road out to the point is not paved and the point is a pretty rustic area. There is camping area and the road is dirt and a little bumpy. You kind of feel like you are going out to the middle of nowhere, but that isn’t really uncommon in Alaska, which often has that feel with their dirt road system. After you get out there though, you’re glad you are there. It is a hidden little luxury just outside town. Don’t worry, it is all safe and good, it just isn’t the lodge feel you’d have with one of the big tour companies. It is, however, what we wanted; a taste of the real Alaska. On my walk the first morning there was an eagle sitting in an evergreen just two houses up. We were also able to walk on the beach easily and saw sea otters right near the property. Miller’s Landing is just a few steps up the road if you need fishing or other guide service. Drive 5 minutes and you have all the items to do in Seward. You are especially close to the Alaska Sea Life Center. We highly recommend Alan and Allison’s Alaska Paddle Inn if you are spending some time in Seward.

Room Tip: Get the High Tide if you can, it has a little better view.
