This lodge is probably one of the best options for a small fishing town in Alaska. It was not our favorite spot on our trip since there was no view and the beds, for us, were not comfortable. The staff was very responsive and friendly so there's was no issue in that area. We ate one meal at the lodge restaurant and opted to eat all other meals elsewhere since our experience was not good there. This could have been because it was nearing the end of the season.

The setting out of town was very nice. The Roadhouse was very close by. I liked the room decor. The table and two chairs worked for reading but an armchair for that would have been nice. A new mattress and new set of towels should be soon on hotel agenda. Walk to main office was quite short.

Room Tip: Each building looks the same

This is a wonderful lodge outside Seward. It has a convenient shuttle to the town going out frequently. Next to a flowing river, very beautiful location. Nice rooms in pinewood lodges. Good service as well. And an excellent restaurant!

Stayed at the Seward Windsong Lodge as part of an Alaska RR package. Check-in took forever....not sure if it was an error with the RR package or the hotel, but it took awhile. We were exhausted and the clerk recognized it. She upgraded our room to a balcony room for for the inconvenience of having to wait.

The Resurrection Roadhouse is the restaurant on property. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. The service was slow, but the restaurant was busy and we were on vacation, so no issues. My wife and older daughter went back to the room to shower and my younger daughter and I stayed and enjoyed dessert and another drink. I asked if I could take an "Almond Joy" drink back to the room for my wife. The drink is a hot chocolate with alcohol, whipped cream, etc... The server said sure....wink, wink... She brought the Almond Joy and charged the $8 and when my wife drank it, it was nothing more than a hot chocolate. That was pretty unsat. If the server couldn't allow alcohol to leave the restaurant, she should have said so and not charged $8 for a hot chocolate.

This is a beautiful lodge, very close to Exit Glacier. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant next door has good food, a bit pricey but pretty standard for this area. We had a great view from our room. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. The rooms were not very clean. The beds were made with lumps in them and our rug was never vacuumed for the week that we stayed there. The bathroom was wiped out but our tub had a ring of soap scum for 4 days before it was wiped out. I think they need to work with their cleaning staff some more.
