Stripsteak ordered rare but came blue. But man was I happy! Incredible steak. Among the best I've ever had. We spent 4 nights in St Anton and we found this was the best meal we had during our stay. The place is very old school; sort of has a 50s Vegas steakhouse vibe to it, piano player and all. We really enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent!

Steaks in Europe are generally expensive, so if you are going to spend, make it a nice cut.

Saw they offered a Chateau Briand for 2 on the menu for about 90 euro and it did not disappoint. Added some sorbets for desert and came away lighter in the pocket but very happy.

Service was attentive and polite. A worthwhile indulgence.

We were wondering down the high street of St Anton looking for somewhere nice to eat, we had been recommended to visit the Sport Hotel Steakhouse by another guest at our own hotel and thought we would give it a shot.

The name does not do the restaurant justice, as soon as we walked in there was an immediate realization that the Restaurant would be an establishment of fine dining. Whether it was the live piano music coming from the adjacent hotel lobby or the way that we were immediately greeted, our first impressions of the restaurant were phenomenal.

For drinks we ordered a half litre of Rose which was a nice change to the large quantities of lager we had been drinking while in St Anton. Our ordered meals were identical, both having the Goulash for starter, my first time having the dish and it was truly incredible. Hot, flavorsome and absolutely delicious while eaten with the assorted bread baskets you were given.

For our mains we both had the peppered steak cooked medium rare, served with grilled vegetables and flat fried potatoes. Similar to hash browns from an Englishman's point of view. The steak was small - but very thick and cooked perfectly! The sauce drizzled over the top only added to the flavors, almost like a cross between a thin gravy and a peppercorn sauce.

The waiter waited an appropriate amount of time before he offered us the dessert menu to which we declined, we were then left to our own affairs and to finish our drinks before requesting the bill. One of the top five steaks I have ever had in any part of the world.

One slight delight as well, the kitchen is open air, i found it absolutely intriguing to watch your own food being plated up by the Chefs. We thanked the staff and shook the hand of the head chef and couldn't of been happier with our visit!
