Just a quick noted for drop by to highlighted for this hotel, I would like to recommand to the Pet lover who whould like to have your pet holiday together with you.

My holiday was on December, a snowing Xmas period. First, I would like give compliment to the helpful front desk who told us with the map where are the available restaurant as we didn't know Austria most restaurant closed on Christmas period it longer like 2-3 days. Room size quite big and comfortable, only one thing if you need kettle please bring your own one. The hotle location location is prefect, not far from center and nice little village. Second, becasue we have a medium size dog so it's very good that there have a private carpark super close to easy to carry things time-by-time, less effort. Third, behide the hotel have its own garden, then behide the garden it's a mountain that you have a gate to go inout, so we are very easy run with dog both morning and night without going anywhere, the room of balcony can see all these view. Fourth, the owner have a beautiful big dog, so they are very caring of our dog & also give us decent advise which is very helpful too. I hope these all helpful for all of you :)

Really nice hotel and Mutters has some beautiful surroundings. Over the winter hikes around were bit limited but I can imagine over the summer must be endless lovely walks around.
The room was bit old fashioned but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast really nice with a big selection to choose from. Staff was really welcoming, helpful and provided lots of information about local transport, restaurants, best places to visit etc.
Its about 30mins tram ride from Innsbruck, if you are coming purely to visit the city it might be bit too far but if ur more interested in local hikes/skiing then Mutters is perfect.
My only criticism would be the swimming pool, its very small. Its more for kids to have some fun time but def too small for any proper swim.

We have enjoyed many holidays in Mutters at the Sportshotel Schieferle and arrived again to meet friends and relax.
The fact that guests return so many times shows how exceptional and special this hotel and the Schieferle family are.
The traditional hotel furnished in Tirolern style is perfect in a pretty village at the base of the local mountain the Muttereralm.
Breakfast is taken in the restaurant with a good selection of rolls and breads with a cereals and a continental self serve buffet plus a wide range of egg dishes cooked to order.
Plenty of hot coffee and a wide selection of teas also available.
Rooms are well furnished and comfortable plus lots of hot water.
Views across the fields to majestic mountains each room had a TV,safe, lots of fluffy towels and comfortable beds with lovely duvets. The hotel has a lift.
The staff are happy and always willing to see their guests are well cared for.
Home baked cakes and coffee, a lounge with well stocked refrigerator and coffee machine plus swimming pool, pool table and plenty of parking plus ski room and bike storage and a peaceful garden to relax makes this a perfect holiday destination.
The village is close to Innsbruck and the mountains while a tram will transport you right into the old city from the end of the road.
TheMutters has a supermarket, fuel station, bank, Church, Chemist, coffee shop and bakers plus the tourist office, outdoor swimming pool, tennis in the summer. Wintersports are on the doorstep.
The Schieferle family are always happy to advise you on restaurants in and around the village and issue the various local tourist cards and information leaflets.

We stayed two nights in this hotel. I booked it because it offered a view to the mountains. The mountain landscape was very beautiful but unfortunately our room faced direct to the street and there were a lot of traffic noise especially in the morning.
The rooms are bit old-style but offered all you need for stay. The wifi connection was sometimes very slow and breaking down.
Breakfast was good and the the staff very friendly and helpful
The location is about 15 minutes car drive from Innsbruck and close to the hotel there is a tram driving to Innsbruck.
Close to the hotel there is a "Muttermalpark" which is worth to see and great for hiking.
If I would stay again in this hotel, I would request a room facing the back-yard to avoid the traffic noise.
