Situated just a couple of minutes walk between the 2 main lifts up the mountain, and on the Main Street, Panther is in the ideal position. Rooms above the Otzi nightclub can get noisy from 2am so try to ask for a room on the other side. The food all week was very good and there was plenty of variety from the breakfast and salad buffets. Unfortunately the pool and wellness area are only open from 4 to 7 but the warm outside pool was very welcome at the end of the day. Big sauna and steam room too. While the wifi signal in my room on the first floor was very good, others staying in rooms on the third floor had more of an issue. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Juice at breakfast was more like weakly flavoured water. Would recommend this hotel for groups and couples.

I stayed in this Hotel 15 years ago and I was really disappointed to see that little has changed since then. The rooms are very tired and old. It is clear that little has been spent on this hotel over the last 15 years. I wonder if the owners have changed or whether the owners even operate this hotel any more. Everything is being done on a budget. The hotel is meant to be a 4 star. I can only give it 2 stars. One for the location and the other for the dining room staff. Food overall was very poor and not what one would ever expect in Austria. Orange juice in the morning was coloured water. Pastries very limited and always included the previous days leftovers. Evening meals were boring. The same salad bar every day. A very very poor wine list. We ended up eating out twice in the week because the menu was so bad. And one could not ask for something different. Such a suggestion was totally frowned upon. Sorry Panther Hotel. You are only interested in screwing the customer. The final insult was seeing a notice on your room safes saying that the maximum amount covered in the safe is €727. Where did such a strange figure come from and why are you so limited. You have little interest in protecting your clients belongings then. Your service level is dreadful and there is no ambience at all in the Hotel. I will never return.

Room tip: High up. Every elevation gets lots of noise.

Had a lovely stay in The Panther during February Half Term 2016. It was a skiing holiday. Fabulous location right next to two of the main lifts. Good conditions. Best lift system I have seen. A lot of money has been spent on new 6/8 man chairs with heated seats and automatic rails . Very impressive .
Back to the hotel- friendly staff and impressive facilities . We paid extra for a superior room , after reading mixed reviews and it was lovely. Spacious, clean and comfortable . Only slight gripe was the tiny bin in the room and some noise at night! Our room was right opposite the Otzvi Bar. Having said that the room was well sound proofed and the noise was not too disruptive. I wld recommend getting a room to the rear of the hotel though. The wellness area was superb!!!
The outdoor, heated pool was fabulous.A real treat after skiing. Jacuzzi settings and jet streams made it more enjoyable. No extra cost . One night we were out in the hot water whilst it was snowing. ! Brilliant .
Breakfasts were excellent. So much choice and lots of it! Bacon, eggs , sausages, stuffed peppers , smoked salmon, fruit, lovely fresh rolls, pastries ..... Lots lots more ! Only disappointment was the watered down juices. Not known that before and for a 4star hotel that was s shame.
Dinners were very good and generally of a good quality. I wld recommend more of the meat dishes though. The fish sometimes was a little dry and bland . The meat dishes were really tasty. Fish appears a lot as a starter too but the waiter was great and often offered double of something else if u didn't like fish !
Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

This was our second stay at this wonderful hotel in room 123, which is spacious for 3 people particularly as our daughter was studying for exams so also had a table in the room to work on. The location of the hotel with its heated boot room is ideal, with close access to 2 major lifts. The heated outside pool/jacuzzi and sauna/steam room is the best way to relax after a busy day on the slopes and the restaurant is lovely. The staff are very friendly and attentive to all your needs. The location of the hotel in the heart of Saalbach makes this hotel perfect for us and we highly recommend it. Thank you to Andrea, Tim and all the team for once again making our half-term ski holiday so special.

Room tip: Room 123 is spacious and well located.

A solid 4 star hotel for a skiing resort. Bright, clean and pretty spacious rooms, great breakfast, ski / boot room and 2 min to both sides of the ski area (gondola one way and lift to slope the other).

Evening meal is fine for half board but not exactly restaurant quality but decent and plentiful.

Some nice touches such as complementary pastries in the morning and afternoon. Spa is also not bad and just what u need to unwind after skiing if you're not in the mood for the pub. Otherwise I'd say go to the bars instead!
