Just back from a great week in Saalbach. The skiing was as always great and this Hotels location is close to all the major lifts. The hotel in quite quiet as they do not seem to encourage casual passers buy into the hotel for coffee and cake but the staff are great and could not have done more during our stay. We stated on the opposite side to the pool and night club so there was no noise to speak of at night unless you left the window open. Remember Saalbach is a party resort so noisy party goers at 3 in the morning is NORMAL !
The food in the hotel was a little disappointing. Breakfast is great but hard boiled eggs are not to every ones taste. Dinner was ok but the fish should be avoided. Fresh water fish is always pretty bland. This frustrating thing was that they have the ability to produce great simple but tasty food yet they persist in tying to offer fancy stuff that just never seems to work. Pork with Gorganzola cheese sauce. Thin soups and sweets that consisted of a large blob of creamy something. Yuk !
Heated outdoor pool was fab ! Wellness area nice but naked old men in the sauna area was not great.More
