We booked a "suite" with sea view, but I don't think it should be called suite. It's a standard room with balcony and sea view. The view is gorgeous from the room, but it's better from the restaurant, and the cabañas located next to the reception. If you're looking forward to stay, you should contact the property and ask them how to book the cabañas next to the reception and restaurant.
The room didn't feel clean, but at least all the surfaces where I put something were clean, but it was annoying for me to keep checking before I used a table, or a chair. The bathroom and water pressure were good. However, there was a second washbasin that was in bad condition (rusty and didn't work properly). The bed was comfortable and felt clean. The conforter did feel dusty. The hammock in the terrace was dirty and also did the two wooden chairs provided. Even though it's low season, a room that will be occupied needs new sheets, towels and should be cleaned again. I believe if they refurbished a little, it will highly improve. They have a beautiful property with amazing views, but it's definitely a high maintenance hotel.
There was a bit of a downside the next morning since there were some workers at 7am cutting down coconuts next to our terrace, but I must say, when they realized there were people in the room, they did everything so silent that it was like watching tv on mute. It was actually impressive.
On the other hand, views in the restaurant are amazing. We ordered a fried fish and it was delicious, one of the best we've ever had. This, with the view and a glass of wine are worth all the way to Punta Franca. That said, we will definitely come back but to the restaurant. This is our second visit to the hotel, but if they make some improvements, we might return to the hotel as well.
