For the rates charged you expect a little more like paper in the bathroom or A/C may be even lights. The person in charge moved me to another cabin, but A/C to small for the cabin so it was hot all night.
Internet signal does not reach rooms at least the 2 I had experience with.
There is no room service you have to eat your meal at the Bamboo restobar along with thousands of mosquitoes risking to get sika.

I am a native from Guatemala city and I can tell travelers that if they want to experience vacations like Indiana Jones they can do it for $ 20 bucks and will be the same or even better than Nana Juana's

Based on some prior reviews we had our doubts about this hotel, but it was a very pleasant positive suprise.

The hotel itself, grounds, harbor setting, wonderful pool, bungalow lodgings and restaurant was very nice. Our eleven year old grand-daughter rated the pool the best of seven that we used while in Central America.

The only problem was that almost no one spoke English (especially at check-in/check-out) and the bungalow did not have a real shower, just some sort of high tech shower capsule that did not work very well. However, our room was large and comfortable, with working safe, TV and AC and a nice front porch overlooking the harbor.

All in all a very nice stay.

Room Tip: Individual bungalows seemed to us to be the most comfortable. PS Be sure to ask how to operate the capsule shower.

My children enjoyed the pool and garden . We travelled in boat in Rio Dulce and went fishing with one of the hotels staff . Highly recommended to anyone that is looking for a quality time with your loved ones out of the city!

Restaurant food was extremely good with a fun Caribbean atmosphere . Order a Tapado and thank me ;)

An amazing vacation in a great location. The hotel staff were very nice and helped us in everything we needed. The hotel rooms are very big and comfortable.
We had a great time sailing in the river and swimming in the big pool.
Very recommended for your next stay

I rented a room while working on my boat in the Nana Juana boat yard. I books the most economical room and was given room no. 1 which is close to the reception area and the swimming pool. Unfortunately the room was on the side facing the 'city' where they play very loud music well into the night (2am). So, when staying at Nana Juana in one of the economical rooms make sure to get a room facing the boat yard. Other than that the staff was very friendly and helpful. Wifi is only available near the reception, the swimming pool and the restaurant.

Thank you Jan for your recommendation. I hope some day authorities of the Village, will ask the owners of the discotheque to lower sound level on Saturday nights. The discotheque is far from the hotel, but it seems that open areas helps to listen music.
I know you've been again hosted in the hotel while you are working on your boat, thank you very much for your preference and your nice comments about our people.
Kind regards!
