The hotel is authentic old New Orleans. Great location in the French Quarter. Parking available on site for a daily charge. Clean and comfortable room with great bed. You will need to climb some stairs if placed in an upper level room.

For the last 10-12 years, every time I take a trip to New Orleans I always stay here. So much history and comfort in one place. I always get the best night's sleep when I stay here! I even order pizza to the room most times because the rooms are so spacious and comfortable to be in. The pools are amazing. And it is in a perfect location! Can't wait to stay here again!

Stayed at Hotel Provincial in the French Quarter a week ago. If you decide to stay here do not stay in Buikding 5, old hospital section. For the price you pay the Area is totally isolated from main part of hotel. It is also very musty smelling, morbid and in need of renovation. There is also not much space in the rooms for luggage etc. . You get a view of the Mississippi River but you have to contend with the rail yards in between and the noise below. Request to stay in rooms adjacent to pool or garden courtyard, preferably on the first floor as bottom floor can get noisy. No coffee or tea making amenities in any rooms. Office staff not at all accommodating. The staff in the Ice Bar very friendly. Breakfast is not included but around the corner at 527 Ursulines Avenue, Croissant D’Or Patisserie, do great croissants but you have to be there early as they sell out. Closed on a Tuesday. Probably better places to stay in the French Quarter. Very disappointed as we traveled a long way (Australia) and expected better value for our money.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your recent experience as a guest of our property. I am sorry to hear that your experience fell short of your expectations, especially as it relates to the service you received. This is certainly not the norm for us and we are disappointed to hear of your experience. We will be sure to review your comments with our staff and get to work on that immediately. Pease feel free to reach out to me as I am curious about your comment that our staff was not accommodating. I can be reached at shilton@hotelprovincial.com
As far as the coffee or tea amenities; all of our suites do include coffee makers and we do offer complimentary coffee and tea in our lobby every morning. Just this week, French Toast, a breakfast and lunch venue opened in the rear of our hotel, in Building 5. I hope we have another opportunity to provide you with the service you deserve the next time you are in New Orleans.

The hotel Provincial is in a perfect location in the French quarter, but far enough from the craziness of Bourbon street. The pools are small and the few loungers don't get a ton of sunlight exposure, but nice for a quick dip after a day out and about in blistering hot Nola (and we stayed in May, not even the peak of summer).
I also highly recommend the restaurant next door (Angeline - not sure if it's owned by the same people).

Wow, Thank you for sharing your stay with us. Angeline is no longer at this property (We have a brand new, completely renovated, state of the art event space where it was located) however "French Toast", an amazing spot for breakfast and lunch, just recently opened. It is accessible from the 500 building as well as Decatur St. So you HAVE to come back!! We look forward to seeing you, and your family and friends the next time you all visit New Orleans.
