Description: Located right off the St. Charles streetcar line in the beautiful historic Garden District is the flagship location of VooDoo BBQ & Grill. Life’s too short for lousy BBQ. That’s why we craft New Orleans BBQ dishes that feed your soul. Like a Pulled Pork Sandwich worthy of your mom, and meat platters that have been known to elicit epiphanies. That’s what happens when you dry rub meat with Caribbean, Cajun, and Creole spices, then slow smoke it with oak and pecan.

Last night in NO and wanted something filling and hadn't tried yet. Voodoo BBQ on lower St. Charles Street was right around the corner from us so we gave it a shot. Not disappointed! Smoked chicken platter was so good! Coleslaw was good and the sweet potato souffle was YUMMY! All good portions for good prices. Husband had the quarter cajun chicken with potato salad and baked beans and his eyes were rolling around in the back of his head!!! Both dinners had a small square of cornbread that was warm and was yummy too! Sweet tea is JUST sweet enough and they serve bottled beer and water along with fountain soda. Waitresses bring it to you and are very personable! Would def recommend this place, great find! There are other locations within the area but I wouldn't go to any other but this one.

When my family goes to the Audubon Zoo when visiting NOLA, we stop the trolley right in front of VooDoo and have dinner. So my boyfriend and I did the same on our recent trip. Great, fast service - my boyfriend went to the bathroom after we ordered and the food beat him back! We had to work a bit to finagle getting just what we wanted. We ordered the Graveyard Platter (2 meats, 2 sides) with pulled pork and brisket ($2 extra) with sides mac and cheese and cornbread pudding. We tacked on a half rack of ribs. The pork and brisket were definitely the best. The ribs weren't bad but no different than anywhere else, so just not as worth it. The mac and cheese was very mushy - I wasn't a fan, but the cornbread pudding was great. The table had a sign saying to check in on Facebook, not Yelp, for a free sample size dessert. I'm not much for bread pudding but their white chocolate bread pudding was really good (and without raisins, which I prefer). It was a little sad but we were REALLY excited they had fountain Diet Dr. Pepper with free refills. No paying $2-3 for a can of pop!

After an exhausting ride, a bad breakfast and a short nap we were starving. It's not all what we expected but the food was great. The jambalaya is spicey and the voodoo platter looked and tasted awesome. And don't forget desert -a white chocolate bread pudding, it's yummi!

Very nice! The chicken was good but the ribs were terribly dry. Greens were excellent. The corn pudding was good. The way the place is decorated is very nice. Definitely a good place to eat. Clean bathrooms.
