Chef de cuisine Brian Mottola works closely with Chef Emeril to create an innovative menu showcasing rustic Louisiana cooking with local ingredients and some ethnic twists. The three-story restaurant features an open-action kitchen, chef's food bar and a signature wood-fired brick oven. NOLA serves dinner nightly and lunch Thursday through Monday.

“Great food and atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 March 2012

Enjoyed lunch here and decided to challenge the norm and ordered a bacon cheeseburger. All I can say is it was excellent. Worth the premium price. Served with fries. Top quality ingredients as one would expect. For me the toughest items for an upscale restaurant to create is the hamburger and the shrimp poboy. I was not disappointed. Can't wait to go back for the standard seafood fare. Excellent service.

“Wish I could give it 3-1/2 stars”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2012

We were lukewarm on our experience at NOLAs. It was a Friday night and while our reservation was for 8:30, we were not seated until closer to 9. The staff made it seems as that was the norm. There didn't seem to be any acknowledgement that we were waiting close to 30 minutes. The stuffed chicken wings are not to be missed. The crab cake was also tasty. We shared the shrimp and grits. Good not great.

“Best of NOLA! Must try!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2012

Make reservations or wait the wait, if there is one. This is an awesome restaurant. i took my parents here when we went to new orleans because my dad is a huge fan of emeril, and we all agreed that it was the best food we had there. and new orleans has awesome food so that's saying something. the experience goes beyond the food. the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was wonderful too. like most fine dining restaurants, i wouldn't bring small children, but for adults, this is a great place. if you are in new orleans, do try! its well worth the wait and the money!

An oasis in this busy street. Helpful staff good food and great beer. The Fillet was outstanding as were the crab cakes and green fried tomatoes. Will visit again

“Worst meal in New Orleans in 50 years”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 March 2012

Hotel Concierge recommended. The food was horrible. We (3 of us) had the special of the nite--Sauteed Flounder with corn, peppers and Okra. The fish was tasteless, colorless and spongy. Our appetizer was bad, service was bad. Worst food experience I've ever had in New Orleans.
