Our host joe met us at the door and showed us how to operate the door and where to park. He also gave us each a newly baked cookie. That cookie was the start of a love affair with his cakes. Amazing Louisiana pound cakes each morning at breakfast,
Our room was very spacious and all that was needed including extra pillows. There were always bottles of water available as well as snacks and sweets (candies) and breakfast was in a beautiful dining room. The street car stopped outside the hotel and we got day passes and explored New Orleans by day and night. Really sensible library rule joe told us to be quiet between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am if possible so we were never disturbed by other guests.

Room Tip: Ask for a superior queen which also gas a comfy sitting area

So glad these guests from Scotland enjoyed the stay with us. We're happy that they appreciated the efforts that we make to provide a memorable and enjoyable visit including our focus on a restful sleep at night. While not specifically a rule, more of a suggestion, we've had lots of success with our library hours at night. We hope others will come and give us a try.

Great place with lots of history. Street Car stops right out front, route ends at the start of Bourbon St. Joe was a great host that helped us plan our 4-day visit & steered us to some of the best places to eat. We plan to come back real soon!

This was the first time we stayed at the Avenue Inn B&B located in uptown. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The owners Joe and BeBe were very helpful and accommodating. The porch was very relaxing also. We came in very late and didn't want to disturb anyone so we ate at the raw iron tables in the front yard. Which was cool. The trolley stops at the corner so it's just steps away which makes travel to the Quarter, Zoo, Audubon Park, WWII Museum easy and inexpensive. If you're there for a few days then buying a multiday pass is the thing to do. Located next door is the New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood Co. (stays open till 12pm) and New Orleans Coffee & Beignet Co. both was very good and I would recommend them.

We certainly appreciate the nice comments and we were glad to see that all way well. Shooting for the top score for next visit, not sure why we got a downgrade, but if there were no major concerns, then that is a winning score.

Joe,Bebe and staff are very friendly. They provided us with excellent suggestions on places to go (the World War II Museum is a must!) and places to eat. The rooms are clean and breakfast was great. The trolley stops right in front of the Inn. I would highly recommend the Avenue Inn as a place to stay during your visit to New Orleans.
