Our host joe met us at the door and showed us how to operate the door and where to park. He also gave us each a newly baked cookie. That cookie was the start of a love affair with his cakes. Amazing Louisiana pound cakes each morning at breakfast,
Our room was very spacious and all that was needed including extra pillows. There were always bottles of water available as well as snacks and sweets (candies) and breakfast was in a beautiful dining room. The street car stopped outside the hotel and we got day passes and explored New Orleans by day and night. Really sensible library rule joe told us to be quiet between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am if possible so we were never disturbed by other guests.
