This place has good atmosphere, very artsy/funky. We got the last high-top table in the back on a Monday night, which still afforded fairly good views of the stage if not too many people were standing at the bar.

Food was surprisingly good. We had the lamb sliders and falafel salad with pita. Lots of other stuff coming from the kitchen looked good. Drinks are a bit overpriced and none of the specialty cocktails struck our fancy. There are signs everywhere that say order at the bar, which we were about to do, when a server come over anyway to take our order. Then a few minutes after our food came out, we saw her in her street clothes taking off for the night. At least come back over and say you're leaving and tell us to order anything else and pay our tab at the bar. Not cool. We felt kinda jilted.

No cover, at least not the night we were there. Music was hit or miss. Some songs really good, others they were not keeping it together very well. And the leader walked around with the tip jar during each set. Also kinda off putting. We'll tip you on the way out if we like you, don't be in our faces with it.

After reading other reviews, I really wanted to go but my boyfriend preferred more of a formal sit down dinner - his hesitations stemmed from the reviews that talked about no table service. The restaurant we agreed on ended up having a 2 hour wait so we started walking on Frenchmen st. Walked by the three muses and it wasn't busy so we agreed to give it a shot and I'm SO happy we did.

We got there at 6 p.m and didn't have to wait for a table. Other than going to the bar once for refills, we had table service and we put in three different orders.

The food was amazing! We had the fries, steak and cake, rigatoni, fish tacos, sliders, chicken pizza and the banana dessert. The pizza was just ok, but everything else was excellent. We really liked the small servings b/c it gave us the opportunity to try different items.

The music started at 6:30 and we loved how we could enjoy conversing w/o having to yell or struggle to hear each other and stil enjoy some great music.

We visited 3 Muses on the advice of our local tour guide and we were very happy. The music was unique and excellent. The first group featured an accordion player and a guitarist. The accordion player was 88 years old, blind, and brilliant on the accordion. I would not have said that I would be a fan of accordion music, but he convinced me that night.

The food portions were small but appropriately priced for their size. The steak with crab cake was excellent. The fries were really great. We saw so many people ordering them, that we had to try them too. We were glad that we did.

The set-up is such that you order at the bar and they deliver the food to your table. There is limited seating and they do not accept reservations, so get there early if you would rather not wait.

The food was super. Had the Lamb Sliders and the Pork Belly. I recomend both.

The place is small and very busy, the bar staff all were short, didn't smile, and kind of rude. However the food made up for it and would go again.

I had read great reviews about this place and went last night with wife and daughter who lives locally. Food is excellent---3 for 3 "dinners" were outstanding. Very small portions, however. Feta Fries were an impulse appetizer (saw somebody else get them)---try these. Small entrees for dinner but HUGE desert portions (we got 2 and shared). I have to suspect this place is geared for later-evening where you want to drink more and eat less. You order at the bar (food, too), so it is a lot more "bar-like" than restaurant-like (although this is absolutely NOT "bar food"). I tried a "Pimm's Cup" only because I'd read a bunch of New Orleans reviews of this drink. Not at all what I expected (liquor and sweet juice of some kind with cucumbers in the 3 Muse's version). We went back to beer and wine after this. We arrived just as the kitchen opened at 5 and it was not crowded. Over the next half hour that changed, and people were waiting to sit down. Most tables were reserved for "diners", and although there is no cover for the music, there are signs stating you are expected to buy one drink "per set" (not really a problem). Dinner, a couple drinks, desert and tip for 3 was 120.00. Review somewhere described the clientele as "hipster". Not the case at all. Most people seemed "conservative" and "older". Some dressed-up. They seem to have a couple music acts per night. One started at 5:30 PM Sunday. The later act began at 8PM. I would recommend this place as have most others. Frenchmen St is sort of the outer border of the French Quarter, and has several small club/bar/restaurant combos featuring live music. Not much going on during daylight hours, however.
