This is another park in New Orleans that is a must to see. Surrounded by grand old homes and mighty old oaks. If you have some spare time from your visit to New Orleans, this is a wonderful place to visit.

This park is calm, peaceful and beautiful. There’s majestic old moss covered oak trees and small lakes filled with ducks, Swann’s and turtles amidst the 2 mile walking/jogging paved path that is wide enough to be shared with walkers, runners, and Briker’s. You can spend the afternoon sitting on one of the many benches or enjoying a picnic.

There was minimal parking during music under the Oaks, so that is something to consider if you decide to visit during an event. However, there is still other parking nearby if you don't mind a short walk. Children seemed entertained and grounds were clean.
