This is a lovely traditional home in the Audubon Park neighborhood. Keep the house number with you, since it's not marked with a sign. Inside you will find a traditionally laid out and eclectically decorated fine old residence. Barbara Martin, the wonderful owner and hostess, is welcoming and a lovely person to talk with--she'll connect you with whatever you need to know about New Orleans. She graciously accommodated us when we ended up three instead of two people, giving us a room with an extra twin bed. Her breakfast service is Continental-- breads, fruits, hot coffee and tea, and pleasant conversation. Whenever we repaired back to our room after a day on the town, it felt like coming home to our own residence. Not a hotel--a place to relax and reside. Loved the entire experience. Check it out!

Room Tip: There's a charming little guest house behind the main house if you want to have your own little cottage--off the pretty garden.

We were in the front room in what seemed like a maze. I would love to see all the rooms but it was pretty well booked up. Our room was spacious and comfortable with beautiful antique furniture. We only encountered other guests briefly until the last morning when several of us had breakfast together. It was one of those B&B times when the company was as interesting as the sightseeing. Barbara is a woman worth getting to know!

I was luckily to be able to stay in the guest house behind the main house. We had cocktail hour on that lovely porch.
Barbara was a friendly informative hostess and provided a Continental breakfast.
The neighborhood was convenient to buses and streetcar. So much better and more relaxing than the large hotels we usually stay in!

This was my first B&B experience and I was pleasantly surprised. Barbara, the owner, is great. She provided us with several suggestions for food, entertainment, etc. The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood that we thoroughly enjoyed walking around. The rooms were nice and the bathroom was clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast.

Barbra Martin is the proprietress of this elegant Inn. Each room has a distinctive sophistication. The bedding is luxurious and comfortable. Each guest bathroom is pleasant and stocked with necessities. The breakfasts are healthy and flavorful. The public rooms are exquisite; each room a wonder from a cozy library to a music room and secret gardens embellished to feel like one has entered another era. A luxury getaway at a price that is befitting of a moderate person's wallet. Ms. Barbra is knowledgeable and helpful as a concierge who knows the history of NOLA but stays on the cutting edge of epicurean, music and fashion trends and delights. She makes all her guests feel welcome and relaxed.
