Only semi interesting displays consisting of limited pieces. If not for some of the sculptures and photographs, this would have been a total waste.

Locals told us not to bypass the Ogden, and boy were they right. Uncrowded and centrally located near the WWII Museum, this is a great spot to spend a few hours seeing with new eyes the work of some brilliant southern artists, contemporary and otherwise. For example, I cannot say enough about the handful of examples they have from Walter Anderson, and now that I have done some research inspired by their exhibits/displays, I have a much greater appreciation for the regional art they champion. Such a fine, fine place, thank you!

From the entrance to the various artist, this was a truly amazing experience. The building is beautiful and the selection from the local artist were absolutely amazing. This is a must visit on your next trip to New Orleans.

Recognizing self taught art as a major art form- this museum usually has an exhibition showcasing one of the American south's true treasures

This is a very fine art museum. The exhibits are very nicely curated and give an excellent overview of art in the south, both contemporary and historical. Some of the newer art on display contains powerful messages from the artists about contemporary society.

The total volume of pieces in the collections on display are just right to take in an unhurried couple of hours, and the museum is right in the heart of the city, so an easy cab ride or reasonably easy walk from many hotels and other attractions. The Ogden Museum is well worth your time to visit, and very deserving of your support!
