After the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter, we were happy to come back to our house in the Garden District. We did a great self-walking tour around the area to look at the beautiful houses.
A must do on a sunny day. Opportunity to wander around and see beautiful New Orleans architecture. You will not be the only one out there. We ubered out and took the street car back.
Walk on Magazine street to check out lots of lovely shops. Walk or drive the streets to see beautiful homes. It was particularly fun this time of year because there were still many homes with fabulous Christmas decorations. I’m sure this area of NOLA is already on your list to visit. So, don’t take it off the list.
We walked around the Garden district each day while on our trip and got to see many of the unique homes and businesses.
The Garden District has a wonderful mix of locally - owned shops, restaurants and beautiful homes.
The best way to really discover the Garden District is walk through, on Magazine Street and St Charles Street.
