Owner description: Fun area with street painters, musicians and jugglers.

It is a very small park surrounded by shops, street artists, music, and the oldest cathedral in the United States. Cafe du monde is across the street and there are loooooooooong benches around the perimeter of the actual park so seating is not an issue if you want to take your Beignets to go and sit under a tree.

There is a lot to look at in Jackson Square. Lots of vendors and shopping in the area. Great photo op.

I don't know if we hit it right but the activity was crazy from Psychic to musicians and magicians. It's a beautiful location St. Anne's cathedral and an open Park to sit and relax and enjoy music. Restaurants are nearby so you will not go hungry or thirsty. It's a must see in the French Quarter.

Jackson Square is a wonderful place to stroll around and check out all the local artists and music. Local musicians play up and down the square and artists sell their works. You can also revel in the areas unique architecture, walk through the park, and get a bite to eat. There's also a tourist bureau where you can pick up maps and info. about the city.

Went to Jackson Square after breakfast and spent must of the morning there. There is a lot to see especially art work and the St. Louis Cathedral.
