Karen does a wonderful job preparing meals, but that is where the niceties end. We stayed four nights at the bungalow (we originally booked five but left early). After dark (6pm) there is absolutely nothing to do. The wifi only works at the main house not at the bungalows. If you want to play a board game or cards there are no tables and chairs, in the bungalow, you have to sit on the bed. Not even a reading lamp. The mattress is only a half mattress and very uncomfortable. If you kept the shutters open at night, with the lights on, then you are invaded by no see ums, or close them and stifle. The road getting into the place is so bad that you can not navigate it at night anyway even if you were to find someplace to go to. And be aware of the "designer kitchenette" in the bungalow, it consists of six pieces of silverware, a few dishes and bowls and a tiny fridge. No stove or hot plate, not even a can opener!
Jack booked a fishing trip with one of the locals for us, and we were charged $325 plus another 13% tax, even though we paid cash! Oh and as for privacy be aware that Jack will be watching you through his binoculars!More
