We were a group of 10 persons and dined at East Red Teppanyaki on our first night in Yilan. What an unforgettable experience. We opted for the TWD1600 per head menu. There were at least 10 courses. Though the portions were small, we thought they were just right and we enjoyed every morsel of the food served from the first course right to the dessert. This restaurant does not have a lot of recent reviews on trip advisor but we are glad we went with our gut and chose to go there. The chef prepared the different courses in front of us and each course was a work of art, right from the way he prepared them to the final result.

The staff service was also top notch.... plates were replaced every so often and we were also given a few complimentary drinks.. ..and one of them was their plum wine.

We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits Yilan.

No Menu, limited English but very friendly and a fantastic experience.

The staff check if you can eat seafood, meet of this and that.
The menu is decided of "cath of the day" and the chefs choice.

Do not be shy and give it a try.

Pricey for local standards. U pick a price and the chef decides on the dishes.

From the pictures here it seems like there isnt much of a variety..seems like the chef repeats his dishes. Portion is rather small and not exactly filling for a hungry person. Chef offered fried beehoon on the house for hungry people. I really liked the free flow kimchi thou :)

Ordered the 1800 course menu.
We weren't sure we were at the right place according to the price such as a 5stars hotel restaurant, but it was really satisfying.
My husband regretted he had not ordered the best menu at the first place. We could come here next time again though.

The performance of the chef was impressive and interesting to watch.
At the last, they serve you deserts with drink.

Now I can see why they call their menu creative.
All staffs were kind and polite.
And the lady who spoke English was very helping. She introduced each menus what it was for us.

Had a wonderful dinner here with boyfriend and family. It's a bit pricy but defiantly worth it, wonderful food and service. 1500 per person for a 8+ course dinner. We also bought a bottle or great wine. Our chef explained everything to us in detail and the general service was excellent. I would definitely come back. I recommend it for special occasions for coupes, families or friends.
