This is about 45 minutes by bus from Nuwara Eliya on the Kandy road. If you are travelling by bus alight at Tawalantenne town and take a tuk tuk from there. for those who are driving just as you cross Ramboda tunnel you will come to Tawalantenne town. It is just 5 to 10 minutes from there. It is on a small hillock on the right if you going towards Kandy. You will find a board announcing the place. Just go up the hillock for less than 500 meters and you will come to the place. Very scenic spot. You will have to climb steps to visit the temple. Very clean. Idol is a tall statue. Well maintained. The temple opens from 7.30 a.m. to 6. 30 p.m. In the afternoon, it is closed from 1 to 3.30. Walk around the temple. Lot of photo spots are there in this place. you will want to spend more time there even if it is just idling.
There is a very good Annapoorna restaurant there. the dinning hall will be like a choultry. Very neat and tidy. Good food. I will say this place is a must visit for those who go to Nuwara Eliya.

We would have loved to see Lord Hanumanji statue. But reached there in the afternoon around 2 pm, and it was closed. But had a vegetarian thali in the restaurant near the temple. Was homely food. So, mind the time if you really want to come.

Visited the Lord Hanumanji temple at Ramboda. The view of the mighty Lord stands 80 feet tall.It was considered that Lord Hanumanji first landing was here from India and the he went around looking for Sita Mata from here. The temple overlooks a beautiful view of the kothamali dam and surrounding mountains. The place has a ashram for lodging and has a Anapoorna Restaurant serving Indian delicacies. The place is maintained by Chimaya Mission. An energy centre a place of divinity.

This review is for the Annapoorni restaurant in the temple premises.

This is the second time we are visiting this restaurant. It's located on the Kandy- Nuwara Eliya Road, in front of the Shri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple.

The temple is opened and closed to visitors according to a fixed schedule. While waiting for the temple to be opened at 3.30 pm, we went to this restaurant and had the most lovely lunch one can ever have. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant. The thali meal is the standard meal and it was truly awesome. Makes me hungry just thinking about it.

The Masala tea was also excellent.

I'm glad we visited the temple in a group and ate here. I wish the Foundation all the best in their efforts and keep up the good work.

I will remember this meal for a long time to come.....
