We would have loved to see Lord Hanumanji statue. But reached there in the afternoon around 2 pm, and it was closed. But had a vegetarian thali in the restaurant near the temple. Was homely food. So, mind the time if you really want to come.

Visited the Lord Hanumanji temple at Ramboda. The view of the mighty Lord stands 80 feet tall.It was considered that Lord Hanumanji first landing was here from India and the he went around looking for Sita Mata from here. The temple overlooks a beautiful view of the kothamali dam and surrounding mountains. The place has a ashram for lodging and has a Anapoorna Restaurant serving Indian delicacies. The place is maintained by Chimaya Mission. An energy centre a place of divinity.

This review is for the Annapoorni restaurant in the temple premises.

This is the second time we are visiting this restaurant. It's located on the Kandy- Nuwara Eliya Road, in front of the Shri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple.

The temple is opened and closed to visitors according to a fixed schedule. While waiting for the temple to be opened at 3.30 pm, we went to this restaurant and had the most lovely lunch one can ever have. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant. The thali meal is the standard meal and it was truly awesome. Makes me hungry just thinking about it.

The Masala tea was also excellent.

I'm glad we visited the temple in a group and ate here. I wish the Foundation all the best in their efforts and keep up the good work.

I will remember this meal for a long time to come.....

This is situated in the road from Kandy to Nuwara Elia and near Ramboda. One has to take a detour and climb up to reach this site.

This is run by Chinmaya Mission and the whole place is maintained well and is very clean. we have to climb steps to reach the temple. Lord Hanuman is kept as a huge 40 ft black marble idol. Majestic and beautiful. Legend has it that this was the place Hanuman landed in his search of Sita.

The view from this place is spectacular with mountains and lakes. There is a beautiful vegetarian restaurant "Annapurna".
