Room and pool lovely, as expected for the price especially in Bali though,

Paid for dinner for two before arriving as part of package, only to be told the set menu of carrot soup, Nasi goreng and a plain bowl of ice cream was included nothing from proper menu,

"Free mini bar" includes no more than 2 Bintang cans and 4 cans of cordial, not much compared to a typical mini bar in most establishments of this price,

Most staff were very helpful

Recommend seeking a full explanation of inclusions to avoid surprises

Have just spent 6 nights at this lovely resort. The staff were always so friendly and courteous, very professional and always helpful. The resort offered many great services from airport pickup, daily shuttle to local attractions and even free entry and shuttle service to the Canggu Club (a fantastic water park and gym) that I would highly recommend visiting, particularly for families. The buffet breakfast was a great start to the day, with several traditional warm choices plus cereals, fruit, pastries etc and the Chef standing by to make your eggs to order. We arrived late in the evening (10pm) and the kitchen staff kindly made us meals and delivered them to our villa, delicious and inexpensive, very much appreciated. The room was always clean, the bed very comfortable. Location was perfect for us, a little quieter area of Seminyak but an easy walk to many local shops and eateries. We felt very safe with security staff on duty at the front of the villa at all times. There were some very minor maintenance issues, small broken blind in stairwell but overall a very comfortable villa. We had an absolutely wonderful, relaxing stay and will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Choose a villa on the western side to warm pool in afternoon as they are not heated.

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Kayu Raja. The location suited us (not so busy) and the main shopping areas onky 15min by walk. The villa provided a one way shuttle service to the shopping areas in Seminyak, Kuta etc. We availed this to Seminyak square.

The villas are well maintained and we loved the pool and the nice garden set up of the entire resort. The 1br villa is on 4 levels (pool, living, bedroom & terrace) and is a good exercise.

The breakfast was good but the hot food section can be enhanced for vegetarians. The staff were helpful in identifying the vegetarian items.

The communication via email was prompt.

All in all it was an excellent stay.

Thomas & Denise.
Older couple Melbourne.
We had a really great 14 night stay in Kayu Raja.
We had a Villa with some sun and the pool temperature was good. After two nights we got a free upgrade to a larger villa, we were really pleased as this was our first free upgrade ever.
It was under 10 minute walk to restaurants and 3 minutes to laundry where it was only $5 Aus for a weeks wash. Under $2 Aus taxi to Seminyak Square for shops and more restaurants. We spent most of our time in the Villa as we preferred our pool to the beach. Breakfast was included in our deal and it was what you would expect from most hotels however they gave a choice of a.lacarte menu which was also included with nice flat white coffee from the cafe. AGUS and all the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Also all the restaurant staff who remembered our little preferences each day. The friendly guards at the front who hailed Blue Bird Taxis for us. Not least is RUMI who kept our Villa clean and fresh and gave us a little going away gift. On leaving they gathered and wished us a safe journey home. Their driver who took us to the Airport even loaded our baggage onto the trolley for us.
They certainly made Kayu Raja our home in Bali and we thank them all. We will be back .

Nice is exactly how I describe these villas, the staff were amazing and very attentive, great shuttle services to Seminyak, Legian and Pettinget beach and the location is perfect close enough to walk to Seminyak square, Biku, Potatoe Head and Ku De Ta if you don't mind a 15-20 minute walk. The attached cafe - Nebula is a health cafe and has amazing smoothies, juices, health bowls and meals - definitely a highlight at the villas. The villas and grounds are meticulously maintained, very clean and well cared for. My husband had 2 massages whilst there and said they were fantastic.
On a negative - the included breakfast is terrible, we stayed 5 nights and ate the brekky on the first morning and it was the last time we bothered, the selection was terrible as was the food, very disappointing, we chose to pay for our brekky each day after that Nebula. Also as the living room downstairs is an open room it of course does not have air conditioning only a squeaky ceiling fan, this can leave you vulnerable to mosquitos and the heat. The staff attend the rooms several times in the afternoon and evening to replace mosquito coils and spray the room which is definitely required.
