Go during the morning or evening, it gets too hot during the afternoon. The grounds were extensive but lots of stairs to get to the upper terraces

You can find the place easily and they have parking lots for cars/bikes. The entrance costs 15k (local).
This is a nice place for a relaxing stroll. Lots of pretty spots to take pictures. There's a building with hanging photos inside it which will tell you a brief history of this palace.
We came here in the afternoon (around 4pm), the weather is very nice & not too hot.
The place is well maintained & clean. So please don't litter carelessly.
You can take stairs to the gazebo and get a full view of the palace.

This is a sweet little place to stop en route from Candidasa to Amed - pleasant to walk around, lunch and lovely. If you only have time for one, I'd rather suggest Tirta Ganga but, if the afternoon is at your disposal, it's worth a look in!

A little bit less impressive than Tirta Gangga, but also very beautiful and very tranquil. The garden is focused on large pools with adjoining pavilions. Lovely architecture, and we spent quite a bit of time laying on the cool tiled plinth in one pavilion,.. in the shade, listening to the running fountains and the croaking of the frogs. A very nice visit and certainly worth the short trip from Almapura

Beautiful place. Easy to walk, hard climb to top of stairs but worth the effort. View is great. Take time to rent a paddle boat. Lots of fun.
