This is a nice historic hotel. The rooms were small but well maintained. The exercise room was not operative and the breakfast was plentiful but not elaborate. I enjoyed my stay. Having to walk to Y for exercise was a surprise as they advertised they had an exercise room on the premises.

The hotel staff couldn't be nicer and the hotel is in a great location downtown close to restaurants and bars. Our room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the wine reception was a nice touch. The bathroom, however, was in need of updating. The biggest problem we encountered was with the A/C unit. It appeared to have serious build-up of mold inside it to the point where my husband began having an allergic reaction/difficulty breathing so we moved to another hotel for the last night of our stay.

Historic building in the heart of Greensboro' historic district. Lovingly cared for with period furnishings. Our room had a comfortable king size canopy bed with a selection of soft to firm pillows. Bed linens were nice.

The room was furnished with bed and side tables, writing desk and chair, flat screen tv, dresser, a side chair and a cabinet with a small refrigerator. The bathroom was dated, but was kept sparkling clean and had the usual toiletries including shaving kit and tooth brushes. If you are a stickler for a large modern suite with sofa, walk-in shower and jacuzzi bath this isn't the place for you.

The hotel has complimentary parking directly across the street which is a plus considering other "downtown" hotels often charge for parking.

During breakfast the GM stopped by and shared the remarkable history of the building and surrounding area. The continental breakfast offered bakery fresh scones and muffins, english muffins, fresh fruit, assortment of yogurts, hard boiled eggs, and more. Did I mention the scones were BAKERY FRESH?!?

We did not have the opportunity to have complimentary wine that is served in the evening.

It is well situated and in easy walking distance to restaurants, breweries, shops in the historical district, as well as the business district.

We will stay here again the next time we travel to Greensboro.

The Biltmore Greensboro.

We had a lovely stay at this historic property late September. We stayed in #331, which is the top floor front suite. The extra sitting room in the suite is well worth the cost. The only issue we had was the box springs on the bed seemed to be broken, so when my husband so much as turned over in his sleep the noise would wake me. I think it would be bad for someone in the room below us. This issue was reported to the manager, and I’m very sure he will see to it that it is resolved. As other reviewers have stated, this older property has its quirks; but they are, for the most part, charming. The elevator is a hoot, but I can imagine it can be a little frustrating when the hotel is full. The staff is just wonderful, everyone was helpful and very pleasant. We would stay again and would recommend to friends and family. The breakfast was perfectly acceptable, and the evening wine and cheese reception nice, if limited. Location is the key! You are within easy walking distance to so much, and free parking in a downtown area (garage across the street) is almost unheard of these days. A big plus! Oh, and the lobby is beautiful!

Room Tip: You probably don't want a room very near the elevator. Ceiling fan on helped with any noise from the A/C.
