When you walk in it feels like this would be your place if you lived nearby. Had the southwestern chicken tacos. They were spicy enough but not too spicy. Others in the group had fish and chips and shrimp and grits and all proclaimed them delicious.

A small place so if you get there at typical dinner times especially on a weekend you may have a wait. Servers are incredibly nice and efficient. The food - wow! There is a well rounded menu but always go with the specials. On our last visit lobster rolls were one of the specials- probably the best meal outside of the home I have had in the past year. Some outside seating, beers on tap and in bottles, and a good wine selection. Has the feel of a great neighbor restaurant.

After a concert, we searched for late night food in Greensboro and came across Fishbones. When we arrived we were greeted by a young lady, who in the sweetest most sarcastic way, told us the kitchen closed at midnight and even though it was barely 11pm we couldn’t be served. At first I thought she was joking, that wasn’t the case. It’s almost like no one wants business in this town. The Carolina Diner is a great 24hour alternative. Late night travelers beware!!

Fishbones is such a great corner place to eat, drink, hangout. Service is quick, wait staff are very attentive. Have the option of sitting inside or out. Inside, Fishbones reminds me of cafes you might see in Europe where all the tables are so close together you can eavesdrop on other conversations. All the tables are bar height with stools. You have option of dining at the bar as well. Outside, the tables are cute metal patio tables and aren’t as close together but the atmosphere is just as cozy.

Plenty of options on menu-something for every palate. I personally recommend the steak tacos or the fish and chips. For an appetizer try the spring rolls. Not only is the food delish but also there is a great selection of beer and wine.

I would not recommend bringing younger children.

If you’re looking for a local spot which serves good food please give them a try. You shouldn’t be disappointed.

We met friends there for lunch. The service was quick and friendly. They have a decent selection of draft beers at reasonable prices. I ordered the special Blackened Orange Catfish. It was perfectly cooked and tasted very fresh. It came with a Wasabi Spicy Slaw that was excellent and it also came with Sweet Potato Waffle Chips that were also very good. My wife got Peel and Eat Shrimp. They were large, fresh and very tasty. She also got a cup of coffee. We have been to several restaurants with good food but don't go back if she doesn't like their coffee. She raved over their coffee. They have a blend specially made for them. One of our friends got fried Pop Corn Shrimp and said it was excellent. The other friends got their Chicken Wings. They were also good. We will definitely go back there!
