Went to Pigeon Forge for the 6th Annual Jeep invasion and stayed at this resort. Great golf. Great amenities. Rooms are awesome, clean. Beautiful views. Game room. Two pools and hot tub. Highly recommended.

In the middle of the most visited National Park. Convenient to trail heads. Bears can often be seen walking on the road, Our party saw 1, then 3 in downtown Gatlinburg. Great restaurants nearby. Some distance to nearest town.

We traveled to Gatlinburg, TN 07/31 through 8/7. Our drive from
Michigan is about 10 hours. When we arrived at Bent Creek we were greeted with smiles and kindness. Check-in was simple and we were off to our room. We had a second floor “B” unit in the building nearest the pool. Our walk up the stairs with all our stuff wasn’t difficult. Our one bedroom unit was nice. Similar to what my husband and I had almost three years ago when we stayed. My in-laws were across the drive and parking lot from us. They had a first floor “B” unit in the building that overlooked the golf course. Their unit was bigger than our unit and we spent the majority of the time there. We made meals there, played games and had fun.

Our first two days it rained and that caused the cancellation of our trip to Dollywood’s Splash Country. But we found other indoor things to do. Once the rain stopped - we did a lot more outdoor activities.

We enjoyed the outdoor and indoor pools including the hot tub. Only turn off with the hot tub was how foamy it was - kind of gross actually. Many times we had the outdoor pool all to ourselves and we had a great time each time. Lots of laughter and photos from those moments.

My husband and his parents did golf one day but only one as the course was so wet from all the rain that had fallen for days. That was no fault of Bent Creek but it did alter their plans to golf a couple times.

One night the power went out for about two hours. There were emergency lights that came on outside but it was DARK inside and on the mountainside around us where there were usually lights. It was kind of cool. It didn’t alter our trip at all as everyone but myself slept through it.

One thing to note - this resort is 20 to 30+ minutes from anything you want to do in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge or Sevierville. When we went into “town” we did everything we wanted to do and did not make multiple trips in a day. Make sure you keep your gas tank full and be careful with your brakes. Police are a constant and if you’re not careful, you will get pulled over. Learning “mountain driving” is definitely something that will occur.

We truly enjoyed our family time we had at Bent Creek. We saved an untold amount of money cooking at the resort and had several fun family meals at the table together. The washer and dryer were great too - we tossed wet beach towels in several times so they’d be dry for our next trip to the pool.

While our next family trip is to a different destination - I feel I can say that Bent Creek and the area are someplace we’d visit again. We didn’t get any hiking or exploring of the National Park done due to weather and that’s on my bucket list...

We liked being outside the busy downtown area and right at the base of the Smoky Mtns. It was (overall) quiet and the scenery is gorgeous. We had 3 people in a one bedroom and it was pretty cramped. Full sized, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, washer&dryer, basic kitchen tools included. Walls are thin even with renovations, still noisy if neighbors tend to be loud. Workout facility was small. 2 pools

We had a one bedroom unit. It was very disappointing. The kitchen was so small I had to put the toaster on the end table to put se it. The one living area window overlooked the covered stairwell. On the bright side, the location was nice if you wanted a quite location, the staff were friendly and there was a washer/ dryer in the unit.

Room Tip: Get a two bedroom!
