Yuck! Only slightly better than sleeping in the car...the water pressure was decent. Everything else was dirty and so worn out, I was grossed out to walk on the carpet to turn out the light at the switch by the door. No curtain, only tired blinds that didn't reach the sill. Non-refundable rate + frugal husband = good fodder for not letting him choose where we stay. Funny though, there was a dirty laminated price list threatening to charge if any of the flat pillows or thin, mismatched towels were missing. I was lucky to have a blanket and pillow in the car so I didn't have to touch theirs.

I chose this place because it was cheap, but even so value for the dollar was lousy. the room had a very strong, almost cloying, smell from I presume the air freshener we were told is sprayed every day. carpet was badly stained. wall had a hole in it, light switch for bathroom appeared to have a short, no kleenex in room and hotel didn't have any in stock to give us. the free internet was nonexistent; we connected but had no service.

Room Tip: good luck. I tried changing rooms but none were available.

There are three hotels listed on TripAdvisor in Deer Lodge, only 1 on Trivago. The third one listed here doesn't give a price. But you really do not want to stay at the Budget Inn. Should have been suspicious when they did not offer any military discount. Montana is a hugely patriotic state. No ice. Clerk claimed ice machine didn't have ice because someone emptied it and it won't go through its new cycle for 6 to 24 hours. Outright lie! Next morning at 5 o'clock still no ice. Room is very spacious because there is nothing in it. No fridge, no microwave, one bar of soap. Amenities pathetic. Washer, no dryer. Not even a room phone. Does have cable, but TV is old tube type. This is a throwback to the 50's. Earthquake of 5.8 hit 30 miles away last night. Take that as a warning from Nature. Thought the building was going to come down. It should have, but hope it doesn't happen until after I check out. Cannot imagine how this place passes code. Had better tent sites for 1/6th of $65 price of this room. Wasn't worth $20.

Room Tip: Try the Western Sky hotel even though no price listed. Travel Lodge also looked old and they quoted me a price of $87.50 at the desk.

Horrible motel! My other half insisted we stay there due to it be walking distance from relatives and pet friendly. Big mistake! So glad we only booked 1 night! Regretted it as soon as we tried to get in room. Stayed in #25, no room number on door...outside door handle broken, had to shoulder door open, inside lights didn't work due to all plugs falling from wall. We taped our cell phone charger to outlet to hold plug in. Mattress had to hold in the only room light we could get to work. No fitted sheet on bed, only a too small flat that didn't reach to tuck in. Matress sagged horribly. Front window glass was filthy along with inside of entrance door. Mattress and box springs were stained. No pictures at all on any walls. Toilet ran off and on all night. If we hadn't been so tired we would have left. Made sure we spent our remaining 2 nights in town at the travel lodge which was wonderful and over 20 dollars a night cheaper!! Worst motel I've ever stayed in!

The motel is old, that is not an excuse for being dirty, sheets had stain on them, looked like they had not been washed - we did not sleep in them. Floors were dirty- looked like debris from the floor had been swept into the corners. Bathroom - still had debris in shower from previous guest - we did not shower there either. Only reason we stayed is because we were tired and needed to sleep.
The two gentleman in the offcie were personable but wearing stained t shirts.
This cheap deal was not worth it
