I've been visiting this ranch for over 20 years, and each year it continues to impress me. The cabins, though rustic, are very comfortable and charming. There is running water and electricity, but no TVs. But with the views they have of the Tetons, who needs one! The food is spectacular. Their chef prepares three different entrees each night for all different types of tastes. There's even a kid option if your young ones don't want to try the decadent lamb shank. There are a myriad of things to do, but the horseback riding is a Ranch favorite. There is a deep tradition in this ranch that comes through in the people that run it. From the head wrangler Dave who looks like he popped right out of a Marlboro add (minus the cigs), to the owners Kit and Louise who have been part of the ranch of their entire life, there is such great hospitality. This is one of the few true western experiences left. It's real, it's deluxe, and it's what I dream about. Go!

the memories this place brings back .. the stories we could tell .. we spent the better part of a year living and working in the jackson area including staying at this ranch .. yes, it was a long, long time ago, but it was without a doubt... thee best little dude ranch in the overall jackson hole valley .. we long to return to this place that we considered the closest to heaven you will ever get without actually going there .. my friends, let me assure you .. until youve been there, you havent lived .. sure we could go on and on, but it would only sound like a cross between fictional story and a paid advertisement for the moose head ranch .. so dont take my word , huh .. go and experience this ranch and the valley for yourself, eh .. enjoy, ron lightfoot .. hamilton, ontario, canada .. lyteft@mountaincable.net

We have been to Moose Head Ranch for a week each of the past 8 or 10 years and we have a hard time considering going somewhere else. The staff is just perfect- the ranch is only open for about two months and the cabin girls and wranglers are usually terrific, fun college kids who know this is the best summer job they could ever get. The owners are always there and know everything there is to do in WY, and it's a pleasant place to just read and watch the scenery. The man in charge of the horses is a true WY born rancher and is a treasure trove of information. Yes, the cabins are rustic but we love them- that's WY to us. The food is great, particularly breakfast. GO!
