Owner description: Horseshoe Bend is the intimate Grand Canyon experience (although technically located in Glen Canyon.) The trailhead to this 3/4 mile hike is located just outside of Page, Arizona. It overlooks one of the most spectacular views on the Colorado River, 4 miles south of the Glen Canyon Dam, and 7 miles north of mile zero of the Grand Canyon.

We went on a summer afternoon, not the best idea, but the view was stunning. You need to be prepared to walk about 3/4 of a mile on hot sand to get to the bend. Wear good hiking shoes and bring lots of water.

The view at this point does not include a railing so be careful. If the heat doesn't get you, watching ppl be stupid leaning over will.

Overall, neat and free experience.

Beautiful views and easy sight seeing. There’s a large parking lot and a short hike to the edge. Be careful since there is no railing. Easily can be done in a few hours.

What a sight to see, just amazing. There is a bit of a hike/walk to get there and it is hot so take plenty of water. Like most popular sights its popularity spoils it a little as there were lots of people. Maybe go early before the tour buses get there.

Horseshoe bend is a must-go place. Must pick a good time to go because it is hot in June and the trail is sandy. Make sure to bring water/umbrella/hats and wear comfy shoes for hiking up and down the sandy slopes. But it is all worth it! Picture was taken using go pro by amateurs!
