Owner description: Horseshoe Bend is the intimate Grand Canyon experience (although technically located in Glen Canyon.) The trailhead to this 3/4 mile hike is located just outside of Page, Arizona. It overlooks one of the most spectacular views on the Colorado River, 4 miles south of the Glen Canyon Dam, and 7 miles north of mile zero of the Grand Canyon.

Beautiful views and easy sight seeing. There’s a large parking lot and a short hike to the edge. Be careful since there is no railing. Easily can be done in a few hours.

What a sight to see, just amazing. There is a bit of a hike/walk to get there and it is hot so take plenty of water. Like most popular sights its popularity spoils it a little as there were lots of people. Maybe go early before the tour buses get there.

Horseshoe bend is a must-go place. Must pick a good time to go because it is hot in June and the trail is sandy. Make sure to bring water/umbrella/hats and wear comfy shoes for hiking up and down the sandy slopes. But it is all worth it! Picture was taken using go pro by amateurs!

Amazing place to visit. Stunning views. Bring water and an umbrella is recommended for shade. It is a short hike but in the summer the sun can be harsh.

You’ve seen the photos. The real thing is 100 times more awesome and terrifying. You can walk right up to sheer 1,000-foot drops (there are no fences) and see the blue-green Colorado River below. Way below.

Be prepared for a dusty, hilly 15-minute hike from the parking lot. The effort is worth it. The view is beyond spectacular.
