Stayed here for 10 days whilst in Brooklyn visiting our daughter. Rick's place is quirky and has everything you need for a real home from home. We were a party of four, couple, brother and elderly mum so needed three rooms in a reasonably accessible space.
The house has plenty of space and a really nice feel. It is someone's home so if you're looking for modern lines and crisp white sheets it isn't the place for you, but we loved it. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and it was great to be able to cook a meal, sit round and enjoy.
The neighbourhood is great. It is a lovely quiet tree lined street with a good selection of shops, cafes, take-aways and restaurants close by on the main road. There is a well-stocked organic supermarket within a few minutes.
The train station was also a few minutes' walk away which could take you into Manhattan, but unfortunately we couldn't use as it wasn't wheelchair accessible. We used Uber taxis from the house and these were always available and a good service, usually getting yellow cabs back home again.
Overall the location is fantastic and a lovely spot to come back to after a day out in the hustle and bustle, and we were really grateful to Rick for letting us stay in his home, which made our holiday and being able to see our daughter even more special.
