This s a small place on Nassau Street in Greenpoint Brooklyn. The restaurant has a front and back dining room. The menu has various soups, including Borscht. There are also salads and of course many Polish dishes such as, pierogi, cutlets, stews, etc.

As in old time Polish restaurants, one orders at the front counter and once your food is prepared you come to the counter to get your order and take it to your table.

Prices are very reasonable and the clientele is definitely neighborhood folks.

This is a cafeteria-style, small restaurant with one burner in the back, but the food is the same as you'll get in Poland. Delicious. Prices are cheap. We've also hired Pyza to cater an event, ordering and picking up the food ourselves. Everything is delicious, but you won't go wrong with "golabki" - stuffed cabbage, and "bigos" - hunters stew.

Excellent Polish food at still affordable prices. You can take a take out (25 cents for a plastic container) or sit and eat. Not too fancy to invite and impress a girl but a place where one could have a good meal at reasonable price after a hard day of work. The menu is typical for a Polish cuisine and nothing fancy but it is done "mama used to make". Big size portions and filling too. After standing in line and reading menu you have to order and pay at the cash register, then sit and wait. The register lady will call the name of your dish when it is ready. It is prepared while you wait.
It is not a restaurant, more like a cafeteria style eatery but I would recommend it.

If you want some good polish food for either take out of sit in, Pyza is the place. Now, there's no atmosphere to the restauant, it's working folk have a good inexpensive meal type restaurant. Being in a Polish neighborhood and run by a Polish family, speaking Polish would be a help but not a necessity. The portions are HUGE! the cutlets (for example) cover 3/4 of the plate to which you get mashed potatoes and three sides (two for a dollar less) the sides are typically Eastern European: beets, red cabbage, saurkraut, cucumber salad, etc. If you go with a group of four or more you can ask to sit in the back section with bigger tables. They serve the meals as they come out so some at the table will be served and others will wait until their order is ready. It's good, plentiful, and cheap: but cash only.

This place is great to eat Polish food. The 4 off us all tried something different and it was all very good. The salads they serve at the side are really fresh. Portions are big and prices are low.
