If you know what a milk bar is in Poland, you'll understand what this restaurant is. Excellent food, large portions. The menu is not extensive, but does not need to be. Great traditional Polish food in a traditional Polish atmosphere. Very highly recommended.

Hearty, friendly and awesome. Randomly dropped in here when I was cold and hungry roaming around Greenpoint in the snow.
Simple, c&c and satisfying I walked out happy, full and ready to brave the cold.

This place has terrific authentic polish cuisine. We ordered pierogies, potato pancakes and bigos. The food was home made and delicious. You do get a lot for your money. If you want real traditional home made polish food, I highly recommend this place. We went for lunch. It was very clean.

The entire Greenpoint area is like a slice of Poland. Pyza is a local eatery with tasty food and ample portions. You order your food at a counter and when it comes from the kitchen, you take it to a table. This is similar to a cafeteria except that the food is not visible from the dining area so it is often a surprise when you order something you haven't had before (especially if you are not Polish and don't speak the language). However, you can observe what others receive and ask about their choices. Whatever we have had there has been tasty - of course we have our preferences. The dining areas are spotless and the food worth the trip.
