Great macarons, yum hot chocolate for the kids, and always a smile from the team behind the counter.

we visited Joyce Bakeshop on a lazy, rainy, dreary, Sunday morning. There were other brave souls in the coffee shop wearing rubber rain boots with umbrellas who ventured outside today as well. My friend ordered a very fattening croissant and I opted for the almond muffin and a small regular coffee. It was delicious, not too sweet and baked to perfection. There were plenty of table available so we took our time and hung out and chatted for almost an hour until the heavy downpour subsided outside. The decor is French country with dark wood accents and also vintage. the small, square, dark wood tables have display boxes built into the center with old fashioned items inside from the early 1900s. The background music was low key and mostly instrumental. Very relaxing. I like to support local businesses like Joyce bakeshop that are independent establishments rather than big chains. They're know for their brioche and it smells wonderful. You can see the employees in the kitchen through the glass. They have t-shirts like Cutie Pie, etc. that you can buy hanging on the wall. I would definitely come here again. If you need to de-stress, I highly recommend this cute little bakery in Brooklyn.
