When visiting NYC, the intent is to not spend much time in your hotel room — so it didn’t make much sense to us to blow a huge chunk of our vacation budget on the high-priced hotels of Manhattan or Downtown Brooklyn.
This hotel, located in a mixed neighbourhood of middle-class housing, auto repair shops, a large synagogue, and a massive cemetery, seemed to fit our needs.
It was (relatively) quiet, well-run, and clean. The room was kinda small, the breakfast was basic, but it fit our budget. It was within a 5-7 minute walk of a subway station, so access was not a problem.
