Several reasons why we will NEVER stay at this hotel again! Charged $15.00 a day for nothing, cockroaches in our room, denied a request for clean towels and my ring was stolen from inside a drawer in our room while we were out to breakfast. Housekeeping did enter our room during this time. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Had a blast! Stayed the weekend and the location was beautiful, historic and clean. Location was awesome being right in the river and close to everything in historic Savannah. The valet Sam and Jim were awesome! They were friendly, helpful and funny. They gave great recommendations of restaurants and they didn’t disappoint! Would deff go back!

My wife and I were very impressed with this hotel. Our room faces the river where something is always going on-on River Street, on the mall area along the river, and on the river itself. The hotel is perfectly located in the historic district and within walking distance of all downtown Savannah has to offer. Our room has three almost floor to ceiling windows an a small balcony. The floors are real wood planking with two large oriental area rugs. The walls are real brick and the ceiling is 12 feet tall. The furniture included a huge armoire, two large dressers, two very comfortable reading chairs and a king size four poster bed. The bathroom has a granite counter top. The room has room service every day and the staff has been friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Obviously my wife and i have truly enjoyed our stay here.

Thanks so much for your review George. We are so pleased that you enjoyed our beautiful historic architecture and our period furnishings. River street is always bustling and there truly is nothing like standing on your balcony overlooking it all. We hope you and your wife will come back to see us again soon.

Our valet, Will, pointed us in the right direction to get the most out of our river street experience. This pleasant experience will give us a quick recommendation to friends and family that plan to stay in savannah.

The good: the employees are friendly. The location is right in the river, within walking distance of a lot of things. There are free wine and hors d'oeuvres every evening.

The bad: there’s a DJ right outside in river street who plays loud music for 12 hours straight. The hotel is historic, which gives it some degree of charm, but it’s also just old and dated. The bathroom isn’t the cleanest. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Every day we were here, the housekeeping staff gave us fewer (and more haphazardly arranged) towels.
