Since Savannah is a frequently visited city it's good that their Visitors Center is large, helpful, and has all the papers and pamphlets you might want. The staff was friendly and helpful. Grab a free map and ask for directions and help. The staff was happy to tell us about their city. The bathrooms were clean. A 20 minute film on Savannah was maybe $1 and good. In the same building was the city museum which was OK at perhaps $4. In addition there was a small gift shop and a snack bar. The building was a converted train depot and is on busy Dr. King Blvd. We booked our own hotel ourselves so I don't know how much they will help if you arrive without accomodation.
