Does have artist booths along river. Also has memorials - but a few obstructed by construction. Has stores on other side of cobblestones.

Wide assortment of restaurants (some good, some not so good), bars galore, and touristy trinket and t-shirt shops everywhere. River street sweets and savannah candy kitchen are always fun, as long as you can navigate around the occasional herd of children that cram inside. Haha! Great events for the most part, but after 9 or 10 pm, take the kids back to the house or the hotel... activities become more adult, and lately, opportunistic delinquents like to find unsuspecting targets to try to relieve of their valuables. Stay away from the water if you've had a few to many drinks! If you don't drown, you'll enjoy a visit by the savannah police.

New years eve is a great excuse to drink, but Up the Cup? Really? I can appreciate that Wet Willies paid for the "cup" to raise as we count down the coming of the new year, but raising an oversized Styrofoam cup?!? This really shows how of the 2 sister cities, Charleston is the classy sister, and Savannah is... well... she's not. Don't get me wrong... i live here and love savannah enough to move here, but whoa... sometimes i just smh‍♂️...

Second time visiting River Street Savannah this time with more attractions and vendors with live music. We took a cruise/luncheon on the Georgia Queen it was beautiful and the food was delicious, we will do this again.

This street is gorgeous, all cobblestone. If you go on Sunday, parking is free. There's a visitor's center halfway through with free bathrooms and coupons. Lots of cute little souvenir shops and eateries. We really enjoyed it (as well as watching the boats!)

There's never a dull moment on River Street, even if you're there for a stroll down the cobblestone street viewing the ships passing by, but the main attraction are the wonderful restaurants, bars and gift/candy shops.
