We stayed at the Whitaker-Huntingdon Inn for my Bachelorette weekend in Savannah. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Bill, the owner, went above and beyond to help us carry our bags in and show us around the place. He even suggested several things to do and places to eat while we were there. I have never had service so great anywhere I have stayed! The Inn is very charming and vintage, which we all loved! It was spotless and everything we needed (linens and basic kitchen supplies) were provided. I truly felt at home while staying here! This great place made my Bachelorette weekend the best vacation I've ever had! I HIGHLY recommend staying here while visiting Savannah, I know I'll be back!

Went on a girlfriends bucket list trip to Savannah and stayed at the Whitacker-Huntingdpn Inn near Forsythe Park. The Inn was very clean and had everything we could want. Our host Bill and Debbie were wonderful and made sure our vacation was memorable. Great location since we did not rent a car and walked everywhere we wanted to be. I definitely will stay here again when we go back to Savannah.

We stayed at the W-H inn Oct 8th, 9th, which was the Sun and Mon after Hurricane Matthew 'hit' Savannah Fri-Sat. Bill, the owner went above and beyond to help us out in a myriad of ways; he called us en route to Savannah to tell us we could not get into Savannah until 5PM or after, he informed us of the curfew in effect for Sun night, and best of all, he showed us around the historic district, and gave us information on the history of Savannah, and of the homes in the area. BIll's help became very valuable with everything being closed in Savannah on Sunday, and close to every business being closed on Monday (including all tours).
The W-H inn is in the best location in Savannah, across from the fountain in Forsyth park. You're filled w/ the beauty of the architecture, and the park when you walk outside your apt each morning. It is great to look back on our trip, and fill like we 'experienced' Savannah (not just 'looked at' the sights of Savannah)!
Staying in an historic home, walking in the park everyday, and listening to story after story of Savannah by our host, Bill made this a great trip!!

WhitakerHuntingdon, All of the above for over 23 years and still enjoying it! at Whitaker-Huntingdon Inn, responded to this reviewResponded 19 October 2016

Jean, Debbie and I enjoyed you and your daughter's stay. I was glad to try to give you and your daughter an overview and walk through the Historic District since all tours were and most of the other businesses were closed for four or five days after the storm. Wish you could have taken our offer and stayed an extra day, as many of the businesses were opening the next day. We hope you did get to have a nice trip to your next destination and the impacts of Matthew did not continue. We wish you the best and hope you can return now that most of Matthew's impacts will be gone soon! Bill and Debbie-Whitaker-Huntingdon Inn

It was clean, comfortable and very beautiful. The owners Debbie and Bill were very hospitable. The electricity went out the 1st night we were there and Bill stayed up until we got back so that he could give us flash lights and a lantern to use. I would really love to go back and stay again.

We stayed at the Whitaker-Huntingdon Inn over the Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time. Bill and Debbie are some of the sweetest people ever! Bill was waiting for us on the curb as we drove up to the inn. Our room was located in the back and was perfect for our family. It was well stocked and very clean. We were literally steps away from Forsyth Park. Our morning walks around the park were our favorite part of the trip. We feel like we experienced true Savannah charm. At the end of our trip Bill even called to make sure we made it home safe. We hope to be able to stay longer next time.
