We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and people to work with. All of us had separate areas and there are tons of bathrooms. New shower in the basement is wonderful. This home has tons of character and owners were very open minded to changes throughout the process. We will never stay anywhere but here when visiting my brother in Baltimore.
What a beautiful home. The charm of the house was amazing. The owners were wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate my daughters graduation from Loyola !!
We traveled to Baltimore to attend a university graduation and originally booked and paid for the house months in advance for 5 persons. The house could accommodate 6 persons. Since making the original reservations in February two additional persons joined making a total of 8. This was confirmed to the owner on the Friday before our travel on Saturday and she advised that we could only have the house for the 5 persons booked which was accepted. The owner wanted to charge an additional $1050 for the 3 persons.
On Saturday en route to Baltimore at the airport in Ft. Lauderdale we read the email that the owner had cancelled our reservations entirely, leaving us to make last minute reservations at another hotel .Needless to say this was difficult especially from an airport between flights.
We are seasoned travelers who have rented homes in Atlanta and Florida numerous times over the years and have never had such a horrible experience.
|How easy was it to book the property?|
House had something for everyone - great kitchen for me, space to spread-out for my teenage granddaughters, large dining room with family meals, beautiful back yard and patio plus fenced yard and doggy door for our dog. The location was wonderful, convenient to the Inner Harbor, grocery stores and restaurants plus it felt very safe. The house was very comfortable and the artwork and extension book collection were a special treat.
It is the house that keeps going. Lots of rooms that do not always make sense (eg. one bathroom with sink and toilet only and another with toilet and tub only), but adds to the charm of an old home. Tons of stuff in the house reminiscent of college faculty housing with books and interesting things everywhere. I counted 65 coffee mugs and those were only the ones visible without having to move anything. Everyone enjoyed staying there.
Only tip: Leave extra time to check out. Owners request that you clean any rooms you have used, launder linens and towels, and have the dishes cleaned up. So plan accordingly.
If you have a large group, this is the place to stay. We were all very comfortable. I would do it again.
