Our first trip of 2021, and we decided to spend some time at the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philly. Can't recommend this hotel enough. From the time we made our reservation, our check in and during the length of our stay, the staff was amazing. Anyone and everyone who we interacted with, greeted us with a smiled and made us feel at home.

We stayed at the Rittenhouse Hotel for 3 nights. There's a driveway with some parking at the front door of the hotel. You can leave your car here for some time, while you unload your luggage, check in. When we checked in, the hotel had upgraded us to a suite, which was really great of them. The check in process was quick and Samena at the front desk gave us a warm welcome. She went over all of the Covid safety precautions, and also the benefits that came with our reservation. A few minutes later, we were headed upstairs.

Our room was on the 6th floor, room 600. it was facing the rear of the hotel, and had a view of the City, and as we found out the next day... the sunset. You walked into a fairly large living room, which had a minibar, couch, some chairs and a cafe style dining table. Through the next door, you walk into a study area, which had a desk, and a small separation for the bed. Within the room was a small hallway that had a double closet and the bathroom.

The bathroom was really nice, with a tub and a separate shower, and double sinks. The entire room had smart switches, including the bathroom... and you could easily control the lights, and dim them as you liked. This was one of the features that we appreciated the most.

The hotel also carries one of our favorite bath amenities (Acqua Di Parma), and one of our favorite teas (Tea Leaves Company). It also had an illy coffee machine and pods, which you could make coffee or an espresso. We also had a separate hot water kettle for tea.

Our stay included a credit for breakfast, which was provided through in-room dining. Food was delivered promptly, and due to safety precautions staff doesn't enter the room, but do help make sure the food cart gets into the room. Food was hot, and everything was covered. Eggs were cooked perfectly, and the juice was fresh. When you finish, you just roll the cart outside, and call in room dining, so they can come pick up everything.

It's been a while since we've stayed at a non-chain hotel, and we are so glad we chose the Rittenhouse. Wonderful stay, and we can't wait to come back again.

It was a pleasure having you wish us Asish! Thank you so much for your detailed review- it really does make a difference when you choose to stay at a small independent hotel such as ours. We understand it was your first visit but hope to see you whenever you come back to Philadelphia. As Covid restrictions ease, we will be able to offer more amenities and experiences to you and your family.

Planned a weekend get-away and The Rittenhouse Hotel was the perfect choice. Reviews were so positive it was an no brainer decision to give it a try and we were not disappointed. Check-in was a breeze from the concierge valet (thanks Shamus) to the front desk we were literally in our room within 5 min of arrival. Room was spacious and spotless with great views of downtown.

Went to the lounge for a drink - the two gentlemen working (apologies for not remembering names but hopefully the GM can pass along our thank you) provided outstanding service..very attentive and helped with beverage options. Trust us, take their suggestions.

Room service menu said to allow 30 min - it was spot on for timing and the food was excellent.

Check out? Once again, 5 min from room to car out front and ready to go.

Will be back again thanks to the staff.

We visited to celebrate our 35th anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better place! The hotel followed Covid procedures perfectly and I never felt unsafe. Whoever does the hiring of the staff deserves kudos because the staff was unfailingly pleasant, polite and accommodating. I specifically want to mention Ashley at the front desk who was the star of the weekend! I could go on and on about how fabulous she was but suffice it to say, she deserves a raise! What a wonderful weekend!

We stayed at the property over new year's eve weekend. The service, the staff and the suites were wonderful. The suite was large and comfortable with a desk, dining area for two, and seating area. The TV was huge. The lighting system is intelligent, especially once I was "smart" enough to figure it out. The bed and bedding were perfect, one of the best I have ever had.

The staff were so pleasant and helpful, they were clearly smiling under their face masks. Every request was met quickly and pleasantly.

Many things were not available, but the experience felt 5 star none the less.
