“Delightful place to have lunch”
Review of Le Pain Quotidien

Le Pain Quotidien
Ranked #473 of 5,035 Restaurants in Philadelphia
Cuisines: Belgian
Description: We're a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means "the daily bread" in French, and like our name suggests, we're bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That's why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you'll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

I brought a group of out-of-town friends after touring the Barnes. We had a really pleasant lunch, with good soup, sandwiches and salads. Server went out of her way to make sure we were all happy. It's such a pretty place, too. All the food was fresh and good.

This place is PRICEY.

The Bread was very good. And there was a table with a variety of jams and spreads to enjoy it with. Son1 ate his weight in bread and spread. Son2 got a $7 waffle with 3 cut up strawberries - It was good.

FYI - A tartine is NOT an Open Faced sandwich as the menu stated. It is a single slice of a round loaf with little topping and a $14 price tag.

What we got was good. It was fresh and it tasted very good. But you could spend a small fortune.

If you love Organic, Vegan over priced veggies, bread and Organic beverages and are looking for an overpriced snack this is your place. If you are with your family and expect a meal keep walking.

We ate an early dinner here last week with our 3-year old granddaughter. The waitstaff was very attentive; they brought us crayons and a coloring book immediately. There is also a kids' menu. We ate at the long farm table and had a lot of fun. Low key, good food, totally pleasant.

If you want a classy coffee shop with all the amenities, this place is perfect. If I lived in Philly I'd be here weekly.
I did notice the clients are 90% female. The men are missing out.
