I was at the Pennsylvania Convention Centre and found this place by accident. It's an amazing place, filled with fresh local produce and all kinds of knick knacks including cook books, home made soaps and oils, groceries, etc. Best of all, it offers a wide range of restaurant quality international cuisine at great prices. There are also plenty of vegetarian and kosher options for selective palates.

The Reading Terminal has something for everyone. You can buy produce, coffee, candy, cakes, and more. There is a restaurant or take-out place for every taste. This place is a must to go to.

The Reading Terminal Market is a gem in downtown Philadelphia. From fresh produce, meats, and groceries, to delicious prepared foods, the Terminal has everything. It is worth a visit and if you're hungry, all the better. You can get any kind of food here. Incredible cheese steaks, baked goods, candies, Bassett's ice cream, Cajun. . .you name it. There is a great spot in the back with a store featuring goods made in Pennsylvania. Don't leave without trying the Amish donuts. There is a line for a reason.

Reading Terminal is a great spot to shop, browse and eat. Bassets Ice cream is delicious and not to be missed. I frequently go into the city early just to eat there before work or after work. Shanghai Gourmet has good Chinese food ready fast. Take some time to soak it all in and enjoy. It is a great supermarket for those who live downtown. Definitely a throwback to an earlier time when small individual merchants were all under one roof. Just make sure you pronounce it right so you won't look like a clueless out of towner. It's pronounced "Redding" like Otis Redding.

The fresh, homemade doughnuts, made by the Amish are "melt in your mouth" awesome! I try not to eat carbs and I had two! You can watch them being made.
